During our leisurely 35 to 40-minutes long cruises, our boats travel around both the South Canal and North Canal and through Otaru’s port. Our Canal Boats:
Canal 1 Passenger capacity: 17. Canal 1 is a restored wooden cutter made from Japanese Cypress. It is maybe our most stylish and retro canal boat.
Canal 3 Passenger capacity: 23. This boat’s design is based on that of a cutter boat with improvements made to increase maneuverability. It is one of our most loved and hardest working boats.
Canal 5 Passenger capacity: 40. While because of its size, Canal 5 is not as fast as Canal 3, it is nearly just as maneuverable. Again, as it can carry about the same number of passengers as a large bus, it is great for cruises for large groups.
Canal 6 Passenger capacity:48. Being even larger than Canal 5, Canal 6 can seat an extra 8 passengers. This makes it another great boat for use by large groups.
Canal 7 Passenger capacity: 42 Running on electricity, Canal 7 has zero gas emissions. This makes it our most environmentally-friendly boat. Again, as its two motors are very quiet, you can enjoy the sounds of the wind and waves while enjoying the sights around the canal.

Cruises will operate even if it rains. We will provide raincoats free of charge. Cruises will be cancelled when heavy rain is expected.
It can be very hot at times. Please bring drinks, hats, sunglasses and other items that can help prevent against sunburn, heatstroke etc. For safety reasons sun umbrellas cannot be used onboard.
