About our cruises: We run 35 to 40-minute cruises around the Otaru Canal on boats especially designed to match the scenery of this historical area. As our boats travel around both the South Canal and North Canal, and through Otaru’s port, our knowledgeable captains will explain what makes Otaru and it’s canal special. Again, from our boats you can enjoy the view from the Asakusa Bridge that the south canal is famous for from water level. We recommend day cruises to people who want to enjoy leisurely views of historical buildings and Otaru’s cityscape, which with mountains and the sea, has much natural beauty.
Itinerary
- Ticket Center: Please be sure to come and receive tickets at least 15 minutes before departure.
- Otaru’s Port: You can often see coast guard, police and customs boats, and sometimes can see cruise ships.
- North Canal: Remaining largely unchanged, the North Canal’s scenery offers glimpses of how the canal looked in the past.
- Historical Buildings: Our captains will explain about many of the beautiful old buildings around the canal.
- South Canal: Enjoy views of the beautiful old warehouses that make the South Canal Otaru’s most famous sightseeing spot.
- Course Map: Cruises depart from and return to our conveniently-located boarding area by the Chuo Bridge on the Otaru Canal. Our 35 to 40-minute-long cruises let you enjoy leisurely views of the canal.

- Voucher will be sent via email. Please present the voucher at the designated location and exchange it for a printed ticket.

Please be sure to come to our ticket center at least 15 minutes before the departure time of your cruise. This is the deadline for receiving tickets.
Please be aware that if you do not arrive at the ticket center by the above time, you will be seen to have cancelled. You will not be able to board and no refund will provided.

Tickets for infants cost 500 yen per person. However, 1 infant may ride for free with 1 paying adult.

Cruises will operate even if it rains. We will provide raincoats free of charge. Cruises will be cancelled when heavy rain is expected.
It can be very hot at times. Please bring drinks, hats, sunglasses and other items that can help prevent against sunburn, heatstroke etc. For safety reasons sun umbrellas cannot be used onboard.
